My journey into the exhilarating world of AI feels like a thrilling plot twist in my life story. It did not start within a big plan; but from an initial curiosity to a moment in my waking years, quiet but transformational. I was a university student in the process of deciding what I wanted to do when I was preparing to go to a keynote on machine learning. Well actually didn’t go, I did, in one of those last-minute choices. But something about that room, that energy stuck with me. What stayed didn’t the technical details stay, it was the possibility of possibilities.
The idea that we could develop tools that are so much more than simply a system to automate things: they expand humans. That we could use technology so much as it’s making us think differently, create and develop differently and solve problems that seem beyond the limit are beyond possibilities that we could have ever achieved. I walked out of that talk with this quiet but persistent thought: I want to be part of this. Not just one observer but as somebody who is contributing to it.
This moment was not an immediate opportunity to outline my future — that it was a pathway I had to my future — and I have made this one my starting point since then, that thread to follow (learning, experimenting and attempting to stay close to that original world of wonder). For now, that’s even the key factor that keeps me motivated — the belief that we are only beginning to know what is possible! That moment transformed my trajectory, igniting a relentless pursuit of knowledge and innovation. What lessons can others learn from your story? Stay curious!
