Mindsparkle: Luminous Design DATE September 20, 2026 EDITOR Mindsparkle Mag A livestock bell and a shepherd's staff become one Greek meat brand's mark Most food brands treat provenance as small print on the back of the pack. For Voskon Topoi, a new Greek meat brand built on domestic livestock farming, Athens studio Luminous Design made it the entire proposition — starting with the name. Voskon Topoi translates as “Shepherds’ Lands”, putting the landscape itself, rather than the product, at the centre of the brand. The logotype distils two objects any Greek shepherd would recognise: the livestock bell and the crooked staff.

The lettering is packed into the swollen silhouette of a bell, and the staff’s hook rises out of the top as a handle. That shape is the reason the mark works so well in the round. Hung off a wall as a projecting shop sign it reads as the object it depicts before it reads as a logo — a bell you could ring, bracket and all.The brand identity then widens into a full system. A warm gold-on-black badge is embroidered onto workwear, flanked by tapered marks that echo the swing of a clapper, so a brand built on a bell keeps sounding like one even when it is stitched onto an apron. It is in motion design that the idea fully lands.

The bell rocks, the staff hooks into place and the wordmark settles inside the silhouette, turning what could have been a static heritage mark into something with weight and swing.Photography is shot in the same pastures the meat comes from, with the herd and the herder in frame rather than styled out of it. The longer film lets that landscape do the talking. The result carries the memory of pastoral culture without reaching for the usual rustic clichés — no hand-drawn wheat, no faux-vintage stamp.
