Can you share with us the backstory about what brought you to your specific career path? I grew up in a complex, enterprising family, and for a long time I did not fully appreciate how unusual that was.
It was only when I left home, first at boarding school and then in college, that I realized most people don’t grow up thinking about trusts, governance, stewardship, and family dynamics. I certainly did not set out thinking I would devote my career to advising families like my own. But over time, it became clear that my lived experience gave me a perspective that was both credible and practical.
